Paignton is a small drying harbour and has limited facilities which are listed below as well as a public slipway, visitor pontoon and boat storage areas. The harbour is about a ten minute walk from the town centre.
Water is on supply from several points on North and East Quays and at the head of the main slipway. Electric points are by the pontoon steps on East Quay and midway along North Quay. Electric cards are available to purchase from the Harbour Office.
Between April and September a floating pontoon on east quay is a available for visiting vessels of a suitable size and draft. Please contact the Paignton Harbour Office on VHF channel 14 to establish if your vessel is suitable to berth on the pontoon prior to entering the harbour.
For your thoughtful disposal of waste, there are several bins located around the harbour. Should you wish to dispose of waste oil or contaminated fuel please contact the Harbour Office.
Public toilets are at the entrance to West Quay and by the West Quay slipway (these toilets are locked at night).
During the summer season ferries run from the harbour to Brixham and Torquay every hour.
There a number of cafes, takeaways, restaurants and bars surrounding the harbour. A small store is situated by the entrance to South Quay which also has an ATM. There is a Marine engine and chandlers by the main slipway. A small beach called Fairy Cove is accessible by steps at the southeast corner of the harbour. A multi-storey pay and display car park is situated behind the harbour and is accessed from Cliff Rd.
