Cashless Service

Torbay Harbour Authority and Beaches are transitioning to a cashless service across all offices, quaysides, and beaches. This will cover, among other things, visitor charges, launch and recovery, electric, and short-term beach hut hires.

This change will apply from Monday 14th April. Our goal is to streamline operations, improve the safety of our staff and the service efficiency.

Thank you for your understanding.

From 26 July 2024 until 28 July 2024

The Royal Torbay Yacht Club will be hosting the 2024 Torbay Dinghy Regatta from 26th to 28th July.

There will be approximately 40 sailing vessels of differing classes competing each day departing from Torquay Harbour at approximately 09:30 am. Racing will continue throughout each day finishing no later than 17:30

The course area will depend on the wind direction and strength on the day but will be south of Haldon Pier Torquay.

The event will be overseen by the RTYC committee boat Mary Gurine which will be monitoring VHF channel 77 using call sign “Race Committee”.

During the event mariners are to keep clear of the course and are reminded that the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea will apply at all times during this event.
