Torbay Harbour Authority and Beaches are transitioning to a cashless service across all offices, quaysides, and beaches. This will cover, among other things, visitor charges, launch and recovery, electric, and short-term beach hut hires.
This change will apply from Monday 14th April. Our goal is to streamline operations, improve the safety of our staff and the service efficiency.
Sea angling excursions regularly leave Torquay, Brixham and Paignton, and many of the boatmen are local fishermen themselves, so you're sure to make a catch. There is a variety of different species lurking below the waters including:
Mackerel
Pollock
Bass
Mullet
Bream
Whiting
and even Conger Eel
If you haven't got your own kit, there are plenty of shops in the area ready to provide you with all the necessary equipment.
Harbour fishing
Fishing within the any of the harbours is prohibited, however anglers are welcome to fish from the seaward side of both Haldon and Princess Piers of Torquay Harbour, the seaward side of Paignton Harbour and the seaward side of the Breakwater in Brixham.
It is always worth asking where you can and cannot fish from and get some useful tips from the Harbour Offices.
