Annually, more than £25 million of fish is landed and auctioned. Buyers include national processors (for supplying to top restaurants and supermarkets), and local fishmongers and restaurants. A good 50% of the auction is exported worldwide.
Now in it's 10th year, Brixham Fish Market Tours are still proving to be very popular, even with the very early start of 6am. If your fish eating experience extends to just cod, haddock, salmon and mackerel then the Brixham Fish Market tour is for you, where you could see over 40 different types of fish at the auctions.
A chance to see behind the scenes and the hustle and bustle of the world famous Brixham Fish Market, culminating in a delicious fish breakfast at Rockfish.
